Two things stick out in my mind about this weekend...
Sylvia's 22 year old daughter told both of us to "make good choices" when she left us in the parking lot of a bar in Texas City on Saturday night. The other one is me telling Sylvia "you just never know where the day is going to take you". Seriously! I did not make good choices on Saturday night and the day took me places I didn't foresee! I hate it when that happens! I don't yet know if the day took me to a good place or a bad place. Hasn't all worked itself out yet. Should have listened to the 22 year old. She is wise beyond her years. Syl and I keep joking that she is the adult right now and Syl is the kid. Kind of true. Of course, I really think I am the child and I am just dragging Sylvia down with me! For the most part, the weekend was fun. Went to a baby shower for my friend Stephanie, pregnant with twins. She is so screwed. She already has a 3 and a 5 year old. Twins will be born in a couple of weeks. The baby shower was fun. It was held at one of those paint your own ceramics places. We painted letters that will spell out the twins names. Doc says they are both girls. After the shower, Sylvia and I were scheduled for a class. I don't know why I continue to take scrapbooking classes. They drive me nuts. I did learn a few things, but not enough to justify the bad mood I was in by the time I left. The lady sitting across from me had never heard of half the stuff we used or the stuff we were talking about. I finally asked her how long she had been scrapping...did she just start that day?? No, she has been scrapping for 7 years. 7 years and she has never heard of undo???!!! WTF?? She also didn't bring any supplies to class. She didn't see a supply list and didn't think she needed anything. Hello? Who doesn't bring the basics to a class?? Oh, I seriously don't play well with others. I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer and I don't know all there is to know about scrapbooking, but come on! The day was all down hill from there. Don't ask me what I did, because I don't remember half of it. You could ask Sylvia, but I have sworn her to secrecy!! LOL!
